 o INVENTORY
   ---------

 This archive should've included:

 DESKSTOP.EXE - The actual program.
 DESKSTOP.TXT - This text file.


 o PURPOSE
   -------

 Double-clicking on the System Menu ("Control Box") in Norton Desktop for
 Windows 1.0 will immediately exit you from Windows without a "second
 chance" warning.  This, of course, can lead to accidents.

 Thus, Desktop Stop!

 Desktop Stop! provides a non-intrusive way to rid yourself of this
 problem.  With Desktop Stop! installed, you will now get that second
 chance.  Before letting you exit Windows, Desktop Stop! will first
 pop-up a dialog box asking if you're SURE you want to exit.

 DeskStop Stop! has no annoying icon, so it stays out of your way until
 you actually need it.  Desktop Stop! won't even show up in the task list!
 Basically: it's simple, it's fast, and it's foolproof.

 A good 90% of the credit for this program should go to Jim Ferguson.
 It was his idea.


 o INSTALLATION
   ------------

 Simply drop DESKSTOP.EXE into your AutoStart folder, or add DESKSTOP.EXE
 to the Run= line of your WIN.INI file using any text editor.


 o VISUAL BASIC
   ------------

 This program is written in Microsoft Visual Basic.  Therefore, it can
 only be used in Windows' Standard or Enhanced modes, and requires the
 royalty-free Visual Basic runtime DLL.  This DLL is widely available,
 and free... It is available on CompuServe in the Microsoft Languages
 Forum (GO MSLANG) in library #6, and on GEnie in the IBM PC RoundTable
 (IBMPC), as VBRUN.ZIP.

 Although Desktop Stop! is a very small program, it does take up a bit of
 your memory and a small amount of system resources due to the Visual
 Basic runtime.  Bear in mind, however, that the Visual Basic runtime,
 since it is a DLL, is only loaded once...  It's resources are shared
 among all Visual Basic applications.  If nothing else, Desktop Stop!
 should give you a reason to try out all of the fantastic Visual Basic
 applications out there (including, hopefully, some of my own).

 This program is public domain. There is no registration fee. But if you
